Roadtrips

Through winding curves, past crossroads The road is right open Wide views of mountains, crowded city streets

Workers passing by, sunken deep into their minds Through the villages, along beaches Find peace from within

Just a roadtrip, more than anything Makes me come alive These contrasts and feelings, of all the things I see

Zipping past forests, sipping coffee halfway It all seems to make sense I need no destination, just time fuel and coffee

It feels so complete, nothing I seem to lack But once I return, into regular life That feeling passes, until the next time

What stays are the memories Of smiling people, dreamy faces We need to get out sometimes, if not the mind races
